Walking on Sunshine

Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I’m a bit ashamed about my current read as it’s a Mills & Boon historical romance and not something I would usually read.  But here we go!

Sitting back, he allowed his eyes to play over the creamy perfection of Stephanie’s complexion and, as he marvelled again at the curling length of the sooty black lashes that framed the deep azure blue of her eyes, the neat little nose and the sweet rosebud lips, a deep sigh seemed to tug at his heart.  But then, suddenly conscious that he had, perhaps, been staring at the lady rather longer than was circumspect, he forced himself to drag his gaze away from Stephanie’s all-encompassing loveliness and allowed it to drift across to her companion, only to discover that, if the curve of her lips was anything to go by, Catford’s cousin appeared to be regarding him with a certain amount of amusement.

I’ll let you make up your own mind about my choice of reading matter!  It’s The Major and the Country Miss by Dorothy Elbury.

  1. Not my usual read, but the teaser is good! Might have to check out the book 🙂
HERE is my teaser for this week.

  2. Good teaser. I don’t read much historical romance either but once in a while it’s something different and there’s nothing wrong with that! Thanks for visiting my blog today – I’ll be back to yours again.

  3. Romances can be among the most uplifting stories to read. It is funny how wading through the bloodbath of crime fiction is perceived as more acceptable than reading about people who are learning to love 🙂 I hope you are enjoying your book!

  4. Sometimes a change in what you normally read is good. I’m not into romance novels much either but have read a few lately for my blog review site and have rather enjoyed them.
