The Back of the Book: In the new Exploring Prayer series Tony Castle has selected extracts from the writings of several outstanding followers of Christ, to inspire the prayer life of every reader.
St Therese of Lisieux, the Carmelite nun who died in 1897 aged only twenty-four, is one of the most famous and best-loved saints of all time, and a Doctor of the Church. The ‘Little Way’ she taught was to love God and her neighbour with every tiny action of each day. Her whole life was therefore lived as a prayer; a loving ‘Little Way’ that she believed was open to everyone.
NotJustLaura’s Review: This little book contains little extracts from St Therese’ writings (most commonly The Story of a Soul). I would have liked Mr Castle to elaborate on the extracts he has chosen but know this would have been out of scope for this book. It’s something to dip in and out of and would certainly please those with a devotion to this popular Saint.
